About
Hammered & Stoned
Hi, I'm Robin Shirey — a passionate metalsmithing artist working out of my home studio in Lynnwood, WA.
I've been creating jewelry in various forms for decades, but it wasn't until I discovered metalsmithing that I truly found my calling. Crafting with my hands has always been a part of who I am — from knitting and crafting to the hammering and shaping I love today.
Natural stones have always held a special place in my heart, and I love weaving their beauty into every piece I create.
Thank you so much for supporting my small business. I pour my heart into each creation, and I hope my pieces bring you as much joy as they bring me to make.
I have always been a craft person with a thirst for learning and quest for experiencing new things. I love to cook, knit, read, and garden. I have always loved jewelry and had a small business in the early 2000's selling bead-strung and wire-wrapped jewelry at craft shows in southern California. I moved to Washington in 2009, and after a while I was longing to get back to something creative. I had only worked in sterling silver in my past, but I found a series of classes at a local bead store that worked with copper. I did not care for copper as a medium until I took my first class in 2016 and fell in love with it! I took class after class for over 2 years, learning skills that gave me a foundation to produce something unique to my taste, and decided to start a small business to share my newfound love of copper. I have continued to hone my skills with continued classes and combine the skills into a truly unique product that reflects my eclectic personality. I tell customers that my jewelry is a little "off," just like me!
